Discover the Land of Happiness
A kingdom unlike anywhere else
Tucked away in the Eastern Himalayas, Bhutan is a place where ancient traditions remain part of everyday life, nature is deeply respected, and meaningful experiences often come from life’s simplest moments.
Guided by Gross National Happiness (GNH), Bhutan weighs cultural preservation, environmental conservation and good governance alongside economic progress. The idea is written into the Constitution, and so is a promise that at least 60% of the land stays under forest cover for all time.
Explore centuries-old monasteries, walk through peaceful villages, admire mountain scenery and feel the warmth of Bhutanese hospitality. Bhutan is a place to slow down, reconnect with nature and discover a different rhythm of life.
The four pillars of GNH
- Sustainable & equitable socio-economic development
- Environmental conservation
- Preservation & promotion of culture
- Good governance

When is the best time to visit Bhutan?
Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are the most popular seasons, with clear mountain views, rhododendron and jacaranda blooms, and many of the big tshechu festivals. Winter is quiet and crisp; summer is green and lush with monsoon rain.
How much does a Bhutan trip cost?
Bhutan follows a “high value, low volume” approach. International visitors pay a Sustainable Development Fee of US$100 per person per night (children aged 6–12 receive 50% off), a rate set by the Department of Tourism until 31 August 2027. The rest depends on your hotels, trip length and group size. We give you a clear, fixed quote with no surprises.
How do I get to Bhutan?
Most guests fly into Paro International Airport on Drukair or Bhutan Airlines, with connections from cities such as Bangkok, Delhi, Kathmandu and Singapore. You can also enter overland from India, for example via Phuentsholing. We can plan either route, including tours starting from Bagdogra.
What are the visa requirements?
All visitors except Indian nationals need a Bhutan visa, applied for online before arrival (Indian nationals receive an entry permit instead). The visa fee is US$40. We handle the application, permits and paperwork for you.
How many days should I spend in Bhutan?
Many first-time visitors choose 5 to 8 days to see Paro, Thimphu and Punakha at a relaxed pace. With 10 days or more you can add the central valleys of Phobjikha and Bumthang, a festival, or a trek.
Can I customise my journey around my interests?
Yes. Every journey we plan is private and tailor-made. Tell us what you love, whether it’s photography, birding, festivals, wellness, hiking or simply good food, and we’ll shape the trip around you.
